Obama Campaign Attempting to Appeal to Football Fans

“NFL fans on both sides of the aisle hope the refs’ lockout is settled soon. -bo”

Last night a controversial play in the Green Bay Packers and Seattle Seahawks led to much public outrage and bashing of the NFL and their replacement referee’s. Many celebrities got in on the criticism including our President Barrack Obama.  What might seem like a little tweet is actually so much more.  First of all his tweet was shown on SportsCenter this morning to millions of viewer which is basically free publicity for the Obama campaign.  Also his tweet humanizes him in an attempt to distance himself from the “rich boy” Romney.  The tweet can be even further analyzed because the team that lost due to the referee error’s was the Green Bay Packers of Wisconsin.  Obama is trying to sympathise with the Wisconsin population over football in hopes of influencing the swing state.  Wisconsin is clearly important to Obama seeing that he visited the state this past Saturday.  What might seem like a spontaneous 15 word tweet was actually a very calculated and smart campaign move by President Obama.
